This summer is flying by! I can't even believe it. Lots of good things have been happening and I've been so busy. I got really used to doing nothing for a long time, so I am still trying to get used to being awake for the majority of the day. It's kind of pathetic. My body is revolting now - I have an earache, a sore throat, and I am achy all over. I need to rest really well tonight.

This past weekend, Alena and I drove down to Hollywood for a visit on the beach. We spent all of the fourth in our bathing suits, drinking in the sand. I like our little adventures. On Thursday, I am leaving for Michigan! And I'll be back Sunday. I can't wait to see Chelsea.

Other things coming up: I graduate in one month! August 8. I just ordered my announcements, I hope they get here in time. I used to be such a planner. I just don't care about the little details anymore, and it's a lot more fun this way anyway. Graduation time has caused me some stress from within my family, but hopefully everyone can settle down and be reasonable for an entire 24 hours. That's all I ask. Then the next week, I'll be in Minnesota. That's the trip I am looking forward to the most. :)

After that... who knows.

Last night I dreamt that I opened my eyes in bed and saw a hot air balloon floating in the sky. I waved at it and they waved back and then landed in my room. It was so perfect.

My birthday was so wonderful. The mailman ended up coming back with my large envelope and an extra package for me later in the day, so I got my gifts from my dad and Chelsea. :) When I was in Baltimore, my dad flipped out on me for having never seen Braveheart, so he was very adamant about getting it for me for my birthday but I said NO NO I DON'T WANT BRAVEHEART. So he sent Braveheart, special collector's edition. I expected him to forget about it and I sort of did myself, but I laughed when I opened it. :)

We went to dinner at Acropolis in Ybor and I had such a great time! :) They threw napkins everywhere and sang happy birthday and brought out baklava. It was a really nice night, I was very happy.

Apparently while I was in the shower, the mailman came with a large envelope, but he did not leave it. :( He left a slip in the mailbox that I can pick it up tomorrow after 9am. :( I WANT IT NOW, what if it was a birthday treat. It's really going to drive me crazy.

I wasted this day with my moping. All I wanted was to just hang out with my dad. It really bums me out sometimes that we are so separated from each other. I'm excited that he'll be here in August but I feel like it's just causing him extra stress, trying to figure out who will come and who will stay and all of that stuff. I should stop worrying, of course, but that is never easy for me.

I am ordering graduation announcements right now. I completely forgot about them. It feels weird being the only one of my friends graduating in the summer. It feels a little not-real.

In other news, in two and a half weeks, I will be in Michigan and in a month and a half, I will be in Minnesota. :)

This week was completely exhausting. Only ten more to go. :( I feel like I got beat up all over.

Wednesday was the most fun day, when we went to the Bits and Pieces Puppet Theatre. I can't get over it. The couple that ran it were charming and sweet, and we got to see marionettes. The man showed us around their workshop, and the whole back room just took my breath away. They built all of these things:

I can't stop talking about it. There are also videos from them that shows the process of making the giant puppets.

I am happy there is a Woody Allen movie marathon on, but I need to take a test and I also have a headache and I am sleepy. But I appreciate that Turner Classic Movies thinks to do this sort of thing.

So I am going from July 9-12 to Michigan, and now I am hoping to go Minnesota in August for a music festival. This means I need to stop spending my money so frivolously so I can afford such trips.

I am going to be 22 in 2 weeks!

I am a bad little student. I was sick throughout the cruise and when we got back on Monday, I knew there was no way I was going to class or going to work. I slept from noon until 8:30, very much skipping class. And then I skipped again today. I did go last night though but that's because I like that class and we watched Memento.

I think I am slowly getting better. I am on my third box of Kleenex and my nose is red. :( I found some honey lemon cough drops in the kitchen so that's been my primary food intake for the past two days. I really really want pizza and chocolate chip cookie dough, desperately.

I am bored but I am going to do some school work and watch People's Court for a little bit I guess. I went to the bank earlier to deposit some money and the lady gave Sophie a dog treat. :) I love that.

Everyone needs to celebrate St. Patrick's Day in Savannah, Georgia at least once before they die.
